From Film Institute magazine: 'Park decided to use a waltz for this scene, it's beat and violin accompanyment make it sound more like it belongs in a madhouse circus rather than a film. Yet, also striking beautiful, the music really provides the basis of the scene in this case, revealing the true memory that Lee Woo-jin has of his sister's death; leaving him both sentimental and insane. The clever camera work almost seemlessly linking reality into memory and vice versa also gives us an insight into Lee Woo-jin's mind and helps display Park's excellent directing techniques. These little quirks make it feel slightly magical, this film being a darker version of Amelie.'
